News

Following the current situation around COVID-19 the executive committee have regrettably decided to cancel this years Riding of the Marches. The decision has not been made lightly however the wellbeing of our townsfolk is paramount and at this time we see no other option.

Our thoughts are with the 2020 principals and queen’s party. These are exceptional circumstances out-with anyone’s control.

At times like this we are privileged to stay where we do. Please stay safe, look after each other and continue with the remarkable community spirit which makes the Royal Burgh of Sanquhar so special.
